SEL Computing Platform
- The SEL-3350 is a rugged and versatile computing platform designed to withstand the harsh environments found in power utilities and industrial settings. This product can be configured into three primary solutions based on user needs:
- A solution based on the Real-Time Automation Controller (RTAC) operating system.
- A solution based on the SEL Blueframe application platform.
- An industrial computer solution running Microsoft Windows or Linux.
The device is available in 1U and 3U form factors and supports both rack-mount and panel-mount installations, offering high space efficiency and installation flexibility.

Features a solid-state design with no moving parts (such as fans or spinning disks) to maximize reliability. -

Powerful Communication Interfaces
Ethernet: Provides a total of five independent Gigabit Ethernet ports, including one front-panel port and four rear-panel ports. Rear ports can be configured with copper (RJ45) or fiber-optic (SFP) interfaces .
Serial: Supports 16 standard EIA-232/422/485 serial ports, with optional expansion up to 48 ports (3U model only) . -
I/O Expandability
Includes one universal contact input and one alarm contact output as standard; the 3U model can be equipped with an expansion board providing 24 additional inputs and 8 additional outputs . -
Mass Storage
Features two 2.5-inch SATA drive slots supporting up to 7,680 GB of industrial-grade SSD capacity, which are field-serviceable.

Multi-Display Support
A single DisplayPort interface allows for up to three independent high-definition displays to be connected simultaneously via DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) technology. -
Precise Time Synchronization
Supports IRIG-B input to synchronize system time with a satellite clock and can distribute this time to downstream devices via serial ports or an IRIG-B output . -
Convenient Front Interface
Front-panel Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.1 ports allow for quick and secure engineering access and peripheral connection without needing to connect to the local network. -
Remote Management and Diagnostics
Supports secure remote access via Windows Remote Desktop or SSH for changing settings, viewing logs, and performing diagnostics. -
System Recovery and Stability Tools
Watchdog: Automatically reboots the system if a system lockup is detected.
BaRT & SysMon: Includes a Backup and Recovery Tool (BaRT) and SEL System Monitor (SysMon) to minimize downtime through automatic recovery and event logging. -
Audio Support
Capable of streaming high-definition digital audio through the DisplayPort interface. -
Easy Maintenance
A front-panel LED lamp test button allows for intuitive verification of device status, and the system is designed for easy field replacement of storage drives and OS installation.
