SEL-2507

High-Speed Remote I/O Module

The SEL-2507 is a high-speed remote I/O module designed for ultra-fast 1 ms remote control and teleprotection. By implementing Millisecond MIRRORED BITS® communications technology, this device provides transmission speeds four times faster than previous remote I/O applications, enabling quicker and more secure bus protection and automation logic within power systems.

Ultra-High-Speed Communication

Provides a 1 ms end-to-end operate time at 115.2 kbps, transmitting MIRRORED BITS messages every 500 microseconds.
I/O Configuration

Equipped with eight digital contact inputs and eight high-speed digital contact outputs.
Rugged Environmental Durability

Operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C ~ +85°C and maintains reliable performance in harsh substation and industrial environments.
Integrated Protection and Monitoring

Allows for the addition of bus protection and enhances system reliability through trip and close-coil monitoring.
Communication Interfaces

Can be configured with either multimode fiber (ST connector, up to 4 km) or an EIA-232 serial port (up to 15 m).

Simplified Wiring and Safety

Replaces complex copper wiring to outside cabinets with a single fiber-optic cable, eliminating paths for dangerous voltages and protecting personnel.
Rapid Device Replacement

Features the Screw-Terminal Connectorized® (STC) block design, allowing for the quick removal and replacement of the entire unit without having to disconnect individual wires during maintenance.
Intuitive Diagnostics

Front-panel LED indicators display the status of each input/output, alarm, and loop, allowing for at-a-glance monitoring of device operation.
Lamp Test Function

Includes a Lamp Test button to easily verify that all LED indicators are functioning correctly.
Installation Flexibility

Designed with a compact size and light weight (0.77 kg), enabling space-efficient installation through various mounting options, such as chassis or panel mounts.
